Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everybody! One of the best parts of the holiday season is spending time with the special people in your life. Celebrating the holidays with you Little Rock over these past five years has been an amazing privilege and something I really look forward to. However, Christmas is very different this year. Still a celebration of our Savior Jesus Christ for sure, but, very different.

We find ourselves at this time as a church family yearning to physically fellowship with each other as we have been forced to keep our distance. Since the last time we were together on March 15th, many of our young people were forced to miss significant celebratory moments like graduations and proms.

We’ve seen this virus disproportionality affect seniors, and persons with disabilities, some have lost jobs, and we have even lost loved ones over this year.

While it has been a difficult year, it has still offered so many chances for reflection and perspective. This year has offered countless opportunities to be more of who God is calling us to be.

We have had chances to serve humanity, advance equality, and deny selfishness.

We have been blessed with moments to love each other, pray for each other, push each other into our greatness, and even forgive each other! 2020 has offered many opportunities for resiliency, but our resiliency is only as strong as our relationship with God!

So as we celebrate Christmas today let’s honor the Savior by drawing closer to Him!

I just can’t express what an incredible honor and joy it has been to serve this Church especially this year! It is an amazing privilege to be called Pastor and to feel your trust and love! My family and I have been awed by your warmth, generosity, and most importantly your prayers! So on behalf of Ruqayyah and Little Ms. Savannah,
Merry Christmas & I love you all,

Pastor Steven T. Mack
